Presenting Problem
DMG Engineering has been building the San Francisco Bay area for three generations. They reached out to Openform to completely overhaul their existing brand, which included a new corporate identity, stationery, website and custom photography. From the onset, the goal was clear—to position an established business with a fresh and relevant brand presence that is personable and approachable.
Solution
We began by crafting a simple, elemental mark with three ‘bricks’ (which represent the three generations of builders) and paired it with a modern typeface that shared similar characteristics.
Project highlights
The website includes custom touches that improve the overall quality and make the site both unique and approachable. With a focus on simplicity, we chose a vibrant accent color and left the entire site monochromatic. We incorporated the storyline of three generations by using historical imagery of the Bay area over the past 60 years, across their website and stationery to pay homage to the company’s rich heritage.
